Back To School

Sending your kids back to school? You’re not alone! Parents are sending an estimated 55.8 million K-12 students back to school this fall, and another 18 million students back to colleges and universities. That makes up nearly 1/4 of the total population of the country age 3 and up who will be enrolled in school this year. For more information, visit the US Census Bureau’s Back to School Facts for Features.

Mold Awareness Month

What’s more exciting than checking for mold? Well, okay – just about everything! Though it’s not one of the more glamorous parts of being a homeowner or real estate licensee, mold is just one of those things you have to deal with when it sneaks up on you (like dental appointments or taxes). Check out the Environmental Protection Agency’s Mold Site for information on the prevention and cleanup of mold.

Or that 15.9 workers (that’s 12% of the entire workforce) leave for work before 5:59 AM and 3 million spend at least 90 minutes commuting to work every day? Rest up on Labor Day: you’ve earned it.
